Gladys G. Hunt/ Owner and Designer

I’m talking about my design philosophy, but I could just as easily be talking about my vision for a healthy planet. That’s the idea behind GreenGigi, where I bring together my passion for design and my commitment to sustainability. It’s just one way that I juggle different dynamics to bring clients visually striking design work that does many things at once — establishing a brand, conveying an emotion, and telling a story.

My personal story is, well, much more than just one story. I’ve taken an unlikely (and sometimes meandering) path to being a design professional, which has formed my unique aesthetic. I’m a graduate of the Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia, which encouraged breadth of experience. I embraced that breadth (and then some), teaching university classes, working at a Fortune 100 company and, of course, getting in a good dose of freelancing before establishing GreenGigi in 2007. Those diverse experiences have equipped me with both a seasoned creative sensibility and sharp business acumen. In other words, I offer clients much, much more than just an eye-catching logo. Like advice on what to do with that eye-catching logo once you have it. Those are the kind of questions I answer for clients at GreenGigi, where I back my visual instincts with an unerring sense of how to turn a pretty design into a robust brand, and how to leverage that robust brand into a full-fledged marketing campaign.

At GreenGigi, our designs will please your eyes, but our perspective and insight will really give you something to think about. Call it a “global” approach. And, of course, we’re global in other ways, too. We promote conservation with a principled reliance on digital technology and local vendors. We advise clients on options for recycled products and green printing methods. And we endorse design solutions that entail the most effective use of resources. At GreenGigi, we help you create a brand with real impact — the right kind of impact.

Chris Woodson/ Web Developer

Smart. Resourceful. Analytical. Boundlessly curious.

Chris is an obsessive tinkerer, no matter the medium. He fixes up bikes, perfects his microbrew recipes and fine-tunes web code with a perfectionist’s eye for detail. And his keen sense of angles and opportunities also explains why he’s won some regional billiards titles.

Chris brings that spirit of analytical play to his work at GreenGigi. Turning Gladys’ designs into living websites is Chris’ core strength, leveraging his deep understanding of computer language — from web to mobile to the cloud — to produce supple, elegant, durable code. Translation: That gorgeous website we design for you is also as tough as a tank.

Chris isn’t just adept at web language. He’s also fluent in German, having spent a year traveling in and around Germany as an exchange student before completing a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Delaware.

Not surprisingly, that Germany trip also sparked his interest in beer. Of course, leave it to the inquisitive Chris to turn it into a chemistry problem — but a very fun one: In addition to biking and billiards, he devotes his spare time to perfecting his own microbrews. And that sharp, careful, curious mind he brings to everything means he’ll build you a website that’s guaranteed to deliver a buzz.
