Have a Great Logo

If you’re a business, you will likely have competitors who you must set yourself apart from.

If you’re like most businesses, you want to take advantage of new opportunities to bring in new customers. It can be challenging trying to bring in new customers without a good marketing strategy.  When sitting down to analyze your business marketing strategy, it’s a good idea to take a look at your current logo.  Is it nonexistent?  Does it lack quality? If so, you may need to work with a professional designer so that you’re able to get the results that you’re looking for.

When was the last time that you saw a logo?  You probably saw one a couple of minutes ago.  Logos are almost everywhere we look!  This is because a logo helps define a company to the public.  If you currently don’t have a logo or have a low-quality logo that doesn’t get the attention of others, your company may go unnoticed.  It’s important to take some extra time to work on your company logo so that you’re able to be easily recognized in the busy marketplace.

If you have an eye-catching and properly designed logo, you will be able to bring in new customers and will also be able to take advantage of the opportunity to work with repeat customers.  Let’s say you work with a client who needs a small project completed.  After a few months go by, he or she may need help with another project.  If the client sees your logo when looking through pamphlets and other marketing materials, he or she may be more likely to choose your company again.  This is because of both the previous experience as well as the memorable logo.

If you’re a business, you will likely have competitors who you must set yourself apart from.  If you have a well-designed logo and your main competitor has taken no care to update their logo or marketing materials, your company will likely look more attractive to prospective clients.  This can help you to slowly bring in more customers.

If you’ve been holding off on a new logo design, now is the time to do your planning.  If you want to bring more success to your company, you should take the time to work on your company’s logo.  With the help of an experienced designer, you can explore new logo possibilities.  Make sure that you remember this important marketing strategy.

The recycled symbol—also known as the chasing-arrows logo or the mobius loop—is visible on many consumer products, including paper. Products made with less than 100% recycled fiber will be accompanied by a legend identifying the total percent (by weight) of recycled fiber.

Processed Chlorine Free

Earth Day 2011

Well folks, Earth Day 2011 is coming up soon (April 22nd) and I STRONGLY urge you join in and take action! I’ve come up with a few ideas on how you can participate on Friday, April 22nd. If you’re humming and hawing about it, or not sure what to do or are unable to participate, here’s a couple fun ideas – and remember, every little bit helps! And just because Earth Day only rolls around once a year doesn’t mean you can’t strive to do more of these things on a regular basis!

1 ) Turn off all the lights and electricity outlets in your home or business – make it fun! Curl up with your honey, light some candles and talk or play games in the romantic lighting. No significant other on your agenda? Light those candles and read, write, do all of those things you’ve been wanting to do forever but haven’t had the time to (by candle light!).

2 ) Spring (seems) to have finally sprung, and I’m sure a lot of you are itching to do some spring cleaning and organizing and throwing out the winter trash that has collected over the last few months. My advice on this one? Use earth-friendly cleaning products and reuse, recycle, or donate! So much of the stuff that you’re probably planning on tossing in the trash (or even recycling) can probably be of use to someone else out there. To make it easier, while you’re spring cleaning away, keep organized piles of things for recycling, donating and last resort – trash. I think a lot of people throw away too many things that could be reused by someone else, but the decide not to because dropping it off somewhere like a thrift store, donation box, Value Village, etc, is too much of a hassle. Come on people! It’s a short drive and it makes you feel SO much better knowing that the stuff you were just going to ‘get rid of’ will be used by someone who may need it.

Earth-friendly cleaning products? Did you know that baking soda and vinegar are some of the strongest cleaning tools you can have? And it’s also something that most people have in their cupboards. Skip the chemical induced products and (at least for Earth Day) mix 1/2 cup of vinegar in a spray bottle of water and go to town. If you’re wanting to get that winter smell (or pet smell… or any other smells…) out of your carpets, furniture, etc, mix in a couple tablespoons of Borax into it and it will deodorize!

3 ) It’s time to get that leaky faucet fixed. Did you know that getting that annoying, drippy faucet fixed will pay itself off within a year? (providing you hire someone to fix it). Don’t want to pay the money? Break out the tools and ask for help (if you don’t know what you’re doing) – it’s what the men in our lives are for ladies! (*side note* Kudos to the ladies who do it themselves – female power all the way!)

4 ) Make a meatless dinner. For those of you who need the meat, it’s only 1 meal – I think you’ll survive icon_wink.gif

5 ) Try not to use your vehicle. There are many other options and seeing as the weather has been decent this last week (and hopefully will stay this way!) what a better time to break out the running shoes and walk to work/school/anywhere you’re going that day. I know some people need to travel a longer distance daily, try carpooling or public transit to cut down on the exhaust fumes and pollution!

6 ) Plant a tree.

7 ) Switch up your power-sucking, old school light bulbs for CFLs. CFLs (Compact Fluorescent Lamps) are only a smidgen more expensive than regular bulbs, but last 10 times longer and cut down on your power bills. They use 25% of the energy and produce 90% less heat. It’s a win-win!

8 ) Set up a compost station in your backyard. In the summer, it’s amazing fertilizer for your garden and flower beds!

9 ) Turn off the heat for a day. Again – the weather has been fairly nice and what a better excuse to cuddle up with someone!

10 ) Switch your paper bills to online. A lot of companies now are starting to charge for receiving paper bills, so you’ll save money! Plus it’s a lot faster to pay bills online and you’ll be saving trees.

I’d love to hear any other suggestions for this Earth Day or ways that you’re going green! Leave me a comment or shoot me an email, I’d love to hear from you!
